this is a very good application , but it would be better if it comes with lower price.
This is one of our favorite books so I was excited to finally see it available as an app. Although this one is slightly less interactive than the other 2 its still a big hit. Keep them coming!
Other than things I need for work, these are the ONLY apps I am wiling to pay money for. These are absolutely lovely, educational and entertaining at the same time.
I brought my iPad2 into my Kindergarten classroom and let my students try out the various Loud Crow books. They were a hit but Blue Hat, Green Hat was especially liked because they could change the clothes on the turkey which changes the words on the page. They even discovered the turkey wears underwear which brought huge laughs! For teaching young ones to read, these are significant aids because any word that is pressed is said outloud by the narrator, thereby assisting a child who can read most words but may need assistance on some. Loud Crow is doing a wonderful job. I cant wait to see more of their creations!
Favourite pages
1) clothes on hanger with the dresser - play around with it people. Lots of dun! Change shoe colour, shorts in drawer...
2) pool - haaaahaa!
This is a wonderful app. Both of my sons adore this book so I was happy to find it for my iPhone & iPad. Its never glitchy and very easy for a toddler to use. I have two other Sandra Boynton books from the maker of this app and they are equally fantastic.
Some bad moments
The restarting of the iPad helps. But I dont want to restart my iPad every time I used this app. Please fix this, youre other two apps dont require a restart every time we use it.
My daughter loves the book, but I wasnt sure shed get much out of a new electronic version. How wrong I was! There is so much to love in the illustrations, animations, sound effects, and narration. This is exactly what Im looking for in a family app.
This book only has 6 pages and its not that interactive. You can click the words and it repeats it and you can click the clothing and says the color or it wiggles. Its not worth the 4 bucks. You find cheaper books that have more interaction. The last page is the only one that does something.
Just like PETER RABBIT this takes up too much MB! It says only 28.7mb but actually takes up 128mb. Peter Rabbit takes up almost 600mb! I will change my review once this is fixed because for me this is a big issue. To check this out go to itunes, then click on your phone, then go up to apps on your phone, then sort by size.
Works now!!! You have to shut down the whole ipad. Works great and super cute! My son loves it!
My son and daughter both love the books. We have many of Sandra Boyntons books, but this is a completely new way to enjoy them. Love the interactivity. Cant wait for more of them to be available!
